HR Data Analytics Co-op

We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto or Vancouver office Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

About The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a data-driven student to support strategic decision-making within the Human Resources function of a leading financial institution. As an HR Data Analytics Co-op, you’ll work with real employee data, HR metrics, and business insights that influence workforce planning, engagement, and talent strategies.

About The Day-To-Day:

• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and validating HR data from multiple systems and sources
• Prepare dashboards and reports focused on workforce demographics, turnover, recruitment metrics, and diversity analytics
• Collaborate on data visualization projects to enhance stakeholder understanding
• Support the annual and quarterly reporting cycles through data analysis and preparation
• Participate in projects related to HR process optimization and business performance tracking
• Monitor data integrity across HR platforms and help conduct data audits
• Contribute to research on people trends and workforce benchmarking
• Assist in documenting methodologies and ensuring consistent application of data definitions

About The Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program in Business Analytics, Human Resources, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Excellent communication skills and comfort presenting data-driven insights
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines
• Understanding of HR metrics and workforce KPIs
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Workday, SuccessFactors, or SAP preferred
• Prior experience in data analysis or business intelligence coursework or internships preferred

About The Work Environment:

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role, you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary plus a discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $24 - $26 per hour depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities and experience that the chosen candidate possesses.
