Job Summary
The Construction Manager Is Responsible For Planning, Executing, And Overseeing All On-Site Construction Activities To Ensure Timely, Cost-Effective, And High-Quality Project Delivery. This Role Is Critical In Managing Large Epc (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) Projects Within The Oil & Gas Sector, With A Strong Focus On Safety, Compliance, And Performance.`
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage construction plans, schedules, and resources in coordination with project teams.
- Lead and supervise construction teams, ensuring safe and efficient execution aligned with project specifications.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards; conduct audits and manage incident response.
- Oversee construction quality assurance and ensure compliance with engineering and regulatory standards.
- Monitor budgets, approve costs, and implement cost-control measures to stay within financial targets.
- Maintain and track construction schedules, addressing delays and providing progress updates to stakeholders.
- Manage contractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and contractual obligations.
- Proactively identify and resolve construction issues; make critical operational decisions to maintain project momentum.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Masters degree and certifications like PMP, NEBOSH are an advantage.
- Minimum 15 - 20 years in construction management, with at least 10 years in Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Proven experience in managing budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage large, diverse teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project).
