Job Description

Canadian Market Finance Leader is a key member of the regional commercial team reporting to the Americas Financial Controller.  This finance function is responsible for activities related to finance, treasury, financial planning and analysis, financial management, regulatory reporting and tax.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Manage Canadian market financial market activities:

  • Manage, prepare, administer and direct the control of the budget.
  • Manage activities of the financial analyst staff.
  • Review and approve recommendations of financial planning and control, providing relevant fiscal information to executive management team.
  • Manage/perform month-end close activities including analytics and narrative
  • Monitor division and department adherence to approved budget.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Manage the payroll process
  • Liaise with tax advisors on local tax issues and filings and other governmental reporting
  • Undertaking ad-hoc projects as required.

Qualifications

Education And Experience

  • Education Requirements:   Minimum bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field of study. Professional certification preferred.

Requirements:

  • 8 or more years of experience
  • Government pricing experience desired
  • Expert in SAP
  • Knowledge of IFRS and GAAP
  • Microsoft office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced and ambiguous environment
  • Detailed, self-motivated, results-oriented and analytical
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $82,400 – 184,800/yr (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant and alignment with internal and market data.)
