About Bgis
BGIS is a global leader in integrated facilities management, delivering thoughtful, sustainable, and reliable solutions across complex portfolios. We work in close partnership with clients across government, infrastructure, and corporate environments, with a strong focus on collaboration, compliance, and long-term asset care.
Purpose of the Role
BGIS is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to support a large, technically complex telecommunications property portfolio. Based full-time on the client site in Macquarie Park, this role sits within the Portfolio Optimisation function and plays an important part in shaping asset lifecycle planning, compliance, and long-term building performance.
Reporting to the BGIS contract leadership team, you will work very closely with the client’s operational and technical stakeholders (often in an embedded capacity) to analyse asset data, support capital planning, and ensure accurate, timely asset information across the portfolio. Your work will directly support informed decision-making around maintenance strategies, critical infrastructure, redundancy, and future investment.
The ideal candidate is organised, thoughtful, and collaborative, with a strong appreciation for detail, data integrity, and building trusted working relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, record, upload, and maintain accurate asset data across systems and spreadsheets
- Analyse asset condition, lifecycle, backlog maintenance, and preventative maintenance data
- Support asset lifecycle planning, capital budget development, and optimal maintenance strategies
- Prepare clear, well-structured recommendation reports to support asset performance and resilience
- Ensure statutory, legal, and contractual compliance across asset management services
- Support facilities and operations teams with technical asset insights and documentation
- Assist with tracking critical infrastructure performance and identifying redundancy requirements
- Coordinate with subcontractors and service providers to support asset-related outcomes
- Prepare monthly reports and contribute to reforecasting and financial planning processes
- Build strong, day-to-day working relationships with client stakeholders and BGIS teams
Education, Experience & Skills
Essential:
- Extensive experience (approx. 10+ years) in facilities, asset, or building management environments
- Experience supporting asset management across a multi-site or portfolio-based environment
- Strong experience working with asset data, spreadsheets, reporting, and tracking tools
- Demonstrated experience supporting budgets, lifecycle planning, and cost analysis
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working directly with clients
- Strong attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to work
Desirable:
- Experience within large corporate, infrastructure, or telecommunications environments
- ISO 55001 training or exposure to formal asset management frameworks
- Trade or industry-recognised qualification related to asset or facilities management
- Tertiary qualifications in Property, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline
Workplace Flexibility
This role is full-time and on-site at the client’s Macquarie Park location, offering convenient access to public transport. The position is fixed-term until 30 September 2026, with a view to extension or potential permanency.
