- 1. Prepare and file monthly/annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-6, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, etc.) accurately and within deadlines.
- 2. Perform GSTR-2B reconciliation with purchase registers and follow up with vendors. Also maintains Vendors wise mismatch report reports on monthly basis.
- 3. Manage GST registration, amendments, LUT filings, refunds, and cancellations as applicable.
- 4. Ensure GST ledgers reconcile with GST return and pass appropriately entries in books on monthly basis.
- 5. Evaluate transactions for GST impact and ensure correct tax positions. Also Advise internal teams on classification, rate applicability, place of supply, and input eligibility.
- 6. Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors for tax-related matters.
- 7. Prepare responses, documentation, and representations before authorities and ensure timely replies of notices.
- 8. Prepare and file monthly VAT returns for South Africa Branch office. Ensure is it accurate and within deadlines.
- 9. Assist Team in Other Direct Tax & audit compliances as required.
- Required Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of GST law, rules, and recent amendments.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
- Proficiency in Excel, GSTN portal, and accounting software (SAP B1 or alike).
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Background:
• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 3 - 4 years of post-qualification experience in indirect tax or a Semi Qualified (CA Inter) with 6-7 Years of experience (preferably in a mid/large corporate or consulting firm).
• Exposure to multi-state registrations and service industry is preferred.
