Software Engineering Manager, Modeling Infrastructure

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects.
• 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in software development in a geographically distributed environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers who design and model the networks powering Google's services and those of our Cloud customers.
• Mentor and coach a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Define and drive the team's technical direction, strategy, and road-map for modeling infrastructure, exercising technical judgment.
• Participate in and guide architectural and design decisions for reliable service deployments.
• Manage project priorities and resources effectively, ensuring timely delivery of solutions in a fluid, ambiguous environment.
