About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Fuels, Refining & Engineering (F&EE) team, with a strong focus on the ATOM contract. In this senior leadership role, you will drive engineering excellence, manage a high‑performing multi‑disciplinary team, and ensure delivery of safe, compliant and innovative engineering outcomes.
You will champion best practice, optimise workflows, streamline design processes, and deliver high‑value solutions that support both client needs and UGL’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibility Areas
- Lead and manage a multi‑disciplinary engineering team to deliver high‑quality, compliant engineering outcomes.
- Oversee engineering design deliverables, interface management, and technical governance across all projects.
- Drive process improvements, streamline workflows, and champion best‑practice engineering standards.
- Collaborate with clients to develop effective, practical engineering solutions that meet project and regulatory requirements.
- Manage system engineering processes, including requirements management, RAMS, risk assessments and integration activities.
- Provide leadership on design reviews, change management and issue resolution to ensure project alignment and efficiency.
- Support development and delivery of construction work packages and ensure accuracy of as‑built documentation.
- Contribute to commercial activities such as tenders, EOIs and risk management assessments.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering with 15+ years’ senior‑level experience in Oil & Gas.
- Proven experience leading multi‑disciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong background in engineering design principles, project execution and maintenance planning systems.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem‑solving capability across complex engineering environments.
- Highly developed communication, planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously and deliver to deadlines.
- Strong understanding of contract environments and stakeholder management.
- RPEQ and/or RPEV (or eligibility) required.
