Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plumber to join our team covering the South London area.
Responsible for delivering plumbing services within social housing properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing, with the ability to work across various tasks including maintenance, repairs, installations, and servicing for residential properties. This role requires someone who is adaptable, customer-focused, and capable of working to high standards in occupied properties.
Responsibilities:
- Perform plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations in social housing properties, including but not limited to fixing leaks, blocked drains, repairing toilets, sinks, and taps, installing boilers, radiators, and showers.
- Bathroom fitting duties encompassing a wide range of tasks, involving in the installation, maintenance, and renovation of bathrooms
- Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems in residential buildings, identifying faults, providing solutions, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Attend to emergency plumbing call-outs, ensuring quick response times and appropriate resolution of issues such as burst pipes, flooding, or loss of water.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
- Work on both planned and reactive maintenance contracts, collaborating with other trades as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all works completed, including time spent, materials used, and any issues encountered.
- Provide excellent customer service to tenants, ensuring a professional and courteous approach in all interactions.
- Follow health and safety guidelines and ensure that the work site is safe and tidy at all times.
- Carry out fault diagnosis and carry out repairs to the highest standards.
- Liaise with the office team to ensure that the correct materials are ordered and stocked for each job.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
You Will Need:
- City & Guilds Plumbing Level 2/3 (or equivalent), NVQ in Plumbing or Heating.
- Proven experience as a plumber, ideally with experience in social housing or residential properties.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and maintenance procedures.
- Experience with a wide range of plumbing tasks, including heating and boiler systems, as well as drainage and pipework.
- Good understanding of building codes, regulations, and health & safety requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Full UK driving license.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with tenants and other team members
