Business Intelligence Developer

The Opportunity

Morgans is seeking a dynamic Business Intelligence Developer to join our iServices team. In this role, you’ll deliver modern data solutions to support strategic decision-making, including implementing a cloud data platform (FiveTran, DBT, Snowflake, PowerBI, Salesforce), enabling enterprise reporting, and building automated data warehousing. You’ll apply advanced SQL and modelling techniques—Relational, Dimensional, DataVault, Salesforce Object Model, PowerBI Tabular, and DAX—while documenting data definitions and providing backup support to the BI team. What you will be doing

• Deliver major project outcomes within agreed timeframes and quality standards.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business analysts to design, maintain, and enhance BI applications.
• Develop and maintain change control and testing processes for data models and databases.
• Produce ad-hoc queries, reports, and curated datasets to meet business needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve data delivery, capture, and business processes through technical solutions.
• Document data definitions and ensure clarity for stakeholders.
• Provide support for the smooth operation of the iServices team as required.

What you will bring

• 5+ years’ experience in data-related projects (BI, data management, migrations, or database development).
• Strong SQL skills, including complex functions, scripts, stored procedures, views, and triggers.
• Expertise in data modelling (Relational, Dimensional, DataVault) and database design best practices.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, and PowerBI (including Tabular models and DAX).
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle, DBT or similar BI automation tools, and Azure DevOps.
• Demonstrated experience (Minimum 2 years) in modern cloud data platform (FiveTran, DBT, Snowflake, PowerBI)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Self-motivated with effective prioritisation and deadline management.

Desirable

• Experience with Snowflake, Salesforce, FiveTran, JAMS scheduling.
• Programming skills in C# and PowerShell.
• Exposure to Agile/SCRUM methodologies and finance industry.
• Tertiary qualification in IT or related discipline.
