What You Will Be Doing:
As a Senior Business Systems Analyst, you’ll act as the voice of the customer to ensure that our teams continue to deliver more best-in-breed products that advance the way we pay, bank and invest. You’ll work as part of a team and will be self-motivated, proactive and innovative. You will work closely with our clients in the banking and cards issuing space to analyse and understand their requirements and business needs. This role will ideally be based in Melbourne working remotely, with availability to work in CBD when required. There is some flexibility for it to be based elsewhere in Australia.
You Will Also:
- Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements
- Devise and modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operation time and form of desired results
- Analyse business and user needs, complete documentation of requirements and translate into proper system requirement specifications.
- Influence business partners and service providers regarding priorities, hardware/software selection and/or vendor selection.
- Analyse and document business processes and metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
- Re-engineer processes to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.
- Assess, apply and projects the impact of system changes on users and internal and external clients or stakeholders.
- Write test plans and test cases to ensure changes which are made to the application meet client needs and that application integrity is maintained.
- Conduct a variety of tests such as system, integration, readiness and acceptance tests. Ensures changes made by programmers are correct.
- Verify through testing that changes made by programmers to one part of the application do not impact other parts.
- Support and manage client for software releases, which includes managing defects, team mailbox, group line, and batch/region activities.
- Prepare and distribute software release reports and documentation. Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure information regarding the release and associated activities are communicated.
- Support of internal and client projects/initiatives that may entail identifying requirements and solutions, working through issues in preparation of system implementation.
- Documenting functional solutions for system enhancements and improvements, compliance/regulatory changes and product strategy.
What You Bring:
To excel in this role you will have:
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar Business and System analysis and support capacity
- Recent experience with Credit Card System processes related to Card Issuing and authorisation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to engage well with clients
- Proficient technical writing capabilities
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organisation
- Strong teamwork skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple activities occurring concurrently
- Proficiency in standards office software such as MS Office, Visio, MS Access etc
- Proficiency in industry-standard process methodologies such as Six Sigma, LEAN, ISO, CMM etc
