About the role: We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Business Analyst to join our team at Spond on a part-time basis (on average, approximately 20% - but flex). The ideal candidate will support our financial planning, market research, and strategic initiatives, directly contributing to the growth and financial health of our company. You will work with an experienced team of ex management consultants and investment bankers. Moreover, you will work closely with the company's CFO and CPO.
Key Responsibilities
Financial:
- Assist in developing detailed business plans and financial forecasts, including profit & loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analyses to support decision-making processes.
- Contribute actively to budgeting and financial strategy discussions.
- Prepare pitch material for external investors (PE/venture funds) in coming funding rounds.
Market Research & Strategic Initiatives:
Conduct Market Analyses
- Provide actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- Support strategic planning initiatives and collaborate with various stakeholders across the company.
Formal Qualifications
- You are at least in your second year of studies in Industrial economics, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related field.
- Previous experience in finance, strategy, business analysis, or a similar role is a plus (but not a must!).
Skills & Tools
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with analytical tools such as Power Query, R, SQL, or Python is preferred (but not a must!).
- Ability to clearly present complex information visually and verbally.
- Self-driven and capable of working independently.
- Strong initiative and ability to proactively identify and solve problems.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Comfortable working collaboratively in teams.
- Competitive compensation: 300 NOK/hour.
- The role is remote, but shorter/longer stays at our HQ in Oslo can be provided.
- Opportunity to transition into a full-time position.
