Boilermaker / Welder

Are you an experienced Boilermaker / Welder looking for a rewarding career? Griffin Marine Services Pty Ltd, a leading provider of marine services to Defence and commercial operators, is seeking skilled Boilermaker / Welders in carbon and/or aluminium materials to join our growing team.

We have casual and full-time opportunities available in our WA based team working across multiple sites.

As a Welder, your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing blueprints and specifications to grasp job requirements.
• Selecting, cleaning, cutting, and shaping metal for welding.
• Lining up parts accurately before joining.
• Welding metal sections together using various techniques.
• Inspecting welds for quality and precision.
• Cleaning, polishing, and smoothing welds.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• At least 2 years' experience welding carbon and/or aluminium materials.
• A Trade qualification as a Boilermaker / Welder.
• A strong ability to read technical drawings.
• A solid understanding of safety protocols and PPE.
• A current driver's license with reliable transport.
• The ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• An OHS Construction Induction White Card, Driver's License and eligible to hold a Defence Clearance Access Card (DCAC).

Desirable Requirements (but not mandatory): Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Confined Space Entry, Dogging, Rigging, Fire Sentry Training, and Working at Heights certifications.
