As a Procurement Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the success of our Power & Controls business units by ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of materials and services. In this role, you will manage internal demand requirements and customer-facing fulfillment activities while serving as a key liaison between suppliers and cross-functional partners. This position requires strong supplier management capabilities, sound business judgment, and the ability to navigate complex supply chain challenges in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
This is a hybrid role, based in Windsor Locks, CT with weekly onsite presence required. Anticipated travel is approximately 10%.
What You Will Do
- Support multiple business units within Power & Controls by managing procurement activities that enable on-time delivery to both internal stakeholders and external customers.
- Execute end-to-end procurement processes, including quoting, negotiation preparation, cost analysis, and purchase execution in alignment with established policies and standards.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for order status inquiries, changes, and issue resolution to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Programs, and Quality to resolve medium to complex supply chain challenges.
- Identify, mitigate, and escalate supply chain risks to prevent production disruptions or line stops.
- Monitor supplier and contract performance to ensure compliance with commercial, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Manage supplier-led transitions and changes in scope through formal governance and review processes.
- Proactively coordinate with suppliers to schedule, expedite, or recover deliveries impacted by shortages, quality issues, or capacity constraints.
- Own and actively manage assigned supplier relationships, driving accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure materials and services are delivered on time, at the right cost, and to required quality standards.
- Support delivery assurance and recovery activities as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
- Procurement, buying, or supplier management experience within aerospace, manufacturing, or another highly regulated industry
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience in delivery assurance, demand planning, strategic sourcing, or supplier performance management
- Systems aptitude; SAP experience preferred
- Ability to interpret technical data such as drawings, specifications, or manufacturing requirements
- Familiarity with a range of commodities, materials, or outsourced services
- Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes and market dynamics
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint); data visualization tools such as Tableau are a plus
- Continuous improvement or process optimization experience
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
