This specific opening places a strong emphasis on cabinet making, millwork, and finish carpentry. The selected candidate will be assigned primarily to cabinet fabrication and installation projects while also supporting general carpentry and remodel work as needed.
Additional Essential Functions
- In addition to the standard Carpenter – Engineering duties, this role will focus on:
- Fabrication, assembly, and installation of custom cabinets, millwork, and fixtures
- Safe operation of cabinet shop machinery, including table saws, jointers, planers, shapers, and routers
- Reading and interpreting cabinet drawings, blueprints, and shop specifications
- Working with hardwoods, plywood, laminates, veneers, acrylics, and solid surface materials
- Performing finish carpentry with exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Supporting remodel projects requiring metal stud framing and drywall experience
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized cabinet shop and worksite
- Complete maintenance and installation of commercial doors and hardware throughout the property
- Complete carpentry repairs and maintenance throughout property including drywall, framing, cabinetry, millwork, hardware, acrylics, solid surface, plastic laminate, wall protection, furniture, and suspended ceilings
- Complete remodeling tasks including light demolition, steel framing, drywall, suspended ceilings, door hardware, and finished carpentry
- Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Demonstrated experience as a Cabinet Maker or Journeyman-level finish carpenter
- Prior hotel or casino environment experience strongly preferred
- High proficiency with cabinet shop tools and fabrication processes
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and capable of delivering finished products independently
- Ability to manage time efficiently and meet project deadlines
