Senior Cloud Engineer - AWS

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer - AWS to lead the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of complex solutions on the AWS platform. This role involves deep technical expertise across multiple AWS services, mentoring mid-level engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and secure cloud architectures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS technologies, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to solving technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Own and resolve escalated technical issues within AWS environments.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS architectures.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions to recurring infrastructure or application issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and knowledge base articles.
• Mentor and guide mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
• Lead technical workstreams and contribute to system design reviews and architecture discussions.
• Implement infrastructure as code solutions using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Conduct AWS Well Architected Reviews and provide actionable recommendations.
• Participate in client technical discussions to ensure alignment with AWS best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience working with AWS cloud solutions, including at least 2 years in a senior or escalation engineering role.
• Deep expertise across core AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, and Lambda.
• Strong experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and cost optimization strategies.
• Preferred certification: AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or other advanced AWS certifications (a plus).
