Research Database Developer

Description

Summary:
Provide comprehensive research and clinical database development and management services. Support data integration, security, and analysis for medical research and clinical trials, including REDCap and other EDC systems.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Health Informatics, or related field.
• 3+  years of experience in database development and management in research      settings.
• Proficiency in Visual Basic, VBA, SQL, PERL, JavaScript, and C#.
• Experience with REDCap, Microsoft Access, SQL databases, and EDC systems (e.g.,      Medidata Rave).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Signed NDA required.

Highly Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Certifications in database management, clinical data management, or health IT.
• Strong analytical skills and adaptability to new technologies.
• Prior military medical or research experience.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain research and clinical databases and applications.
• Implement REDCap and other EDC systems.
• Ensure data integrity, perform audits, and apply best practices in data      management.
• Integrate data from medical devices and ensure compatibility.
• Manage virtual desktops and secure environments.
• Write ETL scripts and optimize data workflows.
• Generate reports and perform data analysis for research insights.
• Ensure compliance with GCP and regulatory standards.
• Train staff on database systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform data validation and maintain SOPs.
