Summary/Objective
The Sr. IT Support Specialist is responsible for researching, recommending and testing new technologies the Bank requires. This role also includes providing day to day support of the employees when called upon. The role requires an overall understanding of Business Continuity and Cybersecurity
Skills & Experience:
- VMware experience is a plus
- Understanding knowledge of LAN/WAN networks and desktop technology
- Ability to communicate and interact successfully with a diverse community and to develop and maintain positive professional relationships with the team and the employees
- Ability to work both independently and with the team
- Strong Problem solving and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment under time constraints when necessary
- Hardware/software installation and maintenance experience
Essential Job Functions:
- Act as lead IT resource on projects
- Support the Bank’s VDI / iWorkstation infrastructure including complete testing of new firmware and operating system versions before deployment
- Act as escalation point for IT Support Specialists on tickets
- Responsible for responding to help desk tickets
- Researches, recommends, acquires and installs industry standard PC solutions
- Installation, configuration and testing of Bank’s remote laptops (Thin Clients)
- Testing new hardware peripherals.
- Provide support for Bank employees using remote equipment
- Responsible for Bank’s phone system, adding, changing, deleting numbers.
- Assist IT management with updates to Bank’s IT Policy, Information and Cyber Security Policy and Cybersecurity assessment tool.
- Works as part of a team to resolve all data communication issues including telephone line, data line, telephone equipment or peripheral equipment failures
Qualifications
Required knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Successful completion of in-house training programs or other approved training programs
- Compliance with BSA regulations as appropriate to the position
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Requires manual dexterity, the ability to move and lift, up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to travel to other worksites
- Must be able to work schedules that meet the needs of the Bank, which may include early morning, evening and /or weekend hours
