Wood is recruiting for a Senior Engineering Systems Administrator for our Minerals & Metals (M&M) team in Saskatoon, SK.
The Role
Reporting to the Engineering Systems Lead – M&M West and collaborating with team members locally and across the country, you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining engineering systems that enable efficient project execution. This position involves administering, configuring, and troubleshooting engineering applications and platforms, ensuring data integrity, and providing technical support to end-users. You will also assist in implementing process improvements and system enhancements to optimize workflows across multiple projects. This is a full-time position.

Typical responsibilities
- Setup and configuration of engineering systems, AVEVA suite of products and Autodesk Plant 3D
- Provide technical guidance and support to users when required.
- Install engineering applications (e.g., AVEVA suite, Autodesk products) on users’ machines.
- Troubleshoot database and application errors and advise on appropriate resolution steps.
- Develop, implement, and maintain system standards, libraries, and catalogues in conjunction with other system administrators for all disciplines.
- Manage Plant 3D project setup, including:
- Creation and maintenance of project databases.
- Configuration of piping specifications, catalogs, and templates.
- Integration with external databases and document management systems.
- Managing and maintaining Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Daily Navis files
- Ensure that the correct engineering systems are deployed and used on projects.
- Ensure all engineering systems customization aligns with the company’s objectives and long-term vision.
- Configure engineering systems in line with client requirements and project deliverables.
- Provide advice to Project Managers on the most efficient use of engineering systems to meet project goals.
- Compile and maintain documentation to facilitate the use of selected engineering applications.
- Contribute to the long-term strategic development plan for engineering systems and related design applications to drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.

Expected:
- Programming language qualifications in AVEVA PML1 and PML2. Experience in VBA, C#, SQL, etc., will be an advantage
- Relevant design qualifications would be an advantage
- Autodesk Plant 3D administration experience (project setup, spec management, catalog customization)
- Authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of Engineering Systems Administrator experience working with AVEVA:
- AVEVA Administration (Global Project Setup)
- E3D Design & Draw
- E3D ISO Production
- AVEVA Engineering
- AVEVA Paragon
- AVEVA P\&ID (advantageous)
- Minimum 3 years of Autodesk Plant 3D administration experience, including:
- Project and database configuration.
- Piping spec and catalog management.
- Customization of templates and reports.
- Integration with BIM workflows and Navisworks
- Experience within a BIM or database-driven engineering and design environment.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction cloud.
- Proven computer skills and knowledge of CAD applications, relational databases, and spreadsheets
- 5–10 years of engineering design and modeling experience within mechanical, piping, or structural disciplines.
- Experience in local and wide area network environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat Pro
