Salary and benefits: £62,000 - £80,000 per annum (dependant on experience) plus 16% bonus up to 32%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more.

The Role
We’re looking for a Life Insurance Senior Accountant to join our new Accounting Operations Centre. In this leadership role, you’ll work closely with your manager and peers to drive accurate and timely ledger reporting for policyholder balances, oversee the activities of our customer outsourcers, implement ongoing regulatory change and drive process improvements that make a real impact.
What you’ll do:
- Ensure quality and completeness of policyholder ledger data across all entities.
- Oversee outsourcer performance and challenge SLAs/KPIs for better delivery.
- Own manual journal postings and reduce reliance on manual processes.
- Collaborate across teams to improve data feeds, automate controls, and accelerate ledger close.
- Lead and develop your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
- Fully qualified accountant with financial services experience.
- Strong knowledge of life insurance accounting and change delivery.
- Skilled in stakeholder management and team leadership.
- Experience managing BAU alongside transformation initiatives.
