Thales Secure Information and Communication Systems (SIX) is seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Test Engineer to join the team, with the primary purpose to apply their analytical skills to the functional testing of infrastructure builds. The Test Engineer will support the test strategy and development of test procedures as well as undertake the functional testing of this ICT infrastructure. The Test Engineer is a professional ICT engineer that performs duties requiring the application of a mature, experienced and professional approach. A thorough and methodical approach to testing is necessary to ensure every build is delivered to specifications. Work is carried out within broad guidelines requiring conformity with overall objectives, relative priorities and necessary cooperation with other units.

KEY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES           

As a Cloud Test Engineer, you are accountable for:

  • Designing detailed functional test cases and scripts, ensuring each system is compliant for customer use.
  • Actively participate in requirement and design reviews, refining test plans based on insights gained.
  • Prepares test data, confirm configuration of environments and automate repeatable tests. Execute tests, log defects with detailed information and analyse results to assess system functionality.

Please note this role requires the successful applicant to be based on-site at either Thales offices or client sites.

                  

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS        

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

  • A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or other relevant qualification.
  • Strong problem identification and analysis skills.
  • Strong experience with authoring and reviewing technical documentation.
  • Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) skills desirable
  • Polarion skills is desirable
