Job Title: Business Systems Analyst

Reporting directly to the Project Controls Manager, the Business Analyst is responsible for aligning procurement data between Supply Chain and Project Controls through systems integration and building, maintaining, and verifying data pipelines. 

 

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Reporting & Data Management 

  • Produce, validate, and be accountable for analytical reporting, including monthly and ad hoc reports 
  • Maintain existing data pipelines and Power Query transformations that feed Power BI reports 

 

Systems, Automation & Integration 

  • Develop and automate systems for procurement tracking and contract management using Microsoft Power Platform and beyond
  • Connect and model WBS codes, package numbers, contracts, and POs for accurate progress and cost tracking 
  • Build systems integration between Supply Chain and Project Controls for a single source of truth and interdepartmental alignment 
     

Continuous Improvement 

  • Support internal and external audits by providing data, reports, and system documentation
  • Support the development of processes and systems to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the business 

 

SharePoint & Governance 

  • Manage SharePoint site architecture, security, and permissions
  • All other duties as reasonably assigned 

 

The Ideal Candidate 

Education / Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Construction Management or a related field 

Experience / Skills

  • 3+ years experience in planning and scheduling, large-scale projects, preferably in the mining sector. 
  • Microsoft certifications PL-900, 100, 200, 300, 400, 600 or other relevant certifications are desirable
  • Experience with ERP systems considered an asset 
  • Detail oriented with excessive attention to detail 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Exhibits a high degree of responsibility for confidential matters 
  • Effective team player who can jump in wherever is needed 
  • Strong interpersonal and reasoning skills, with proven problem-solving abilities 
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as with others 

 

Work Location & Conditions

This is an office-based job, in Skeena’s Corporate office located in Vancouver, British Columbia on a Monday to Friday schedule. Additionally, the job is in a fast paced, and at times stressful working environment, with having to manage multiple competing priorities. Some flexibility in work location may be considered.  

 

Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is CA$90,000-$110,000, in line with the competitive job market for such roles carried out in British Columbia. Salary ranges are guidelines and any job offer received by a candidate will be determined on a number of factors such as relevant education, training, and/or experience.
