Shifts Available and Hours:
First shift 7am-3pm
What you will be doing
Job Responsibilities:
- Identify appropriate welding wire and alloy for base metal.
- Change wire, rollers, tips, diffusers, nozzles; set proper roller tension.
- Set correct welding parameters (voltage and wire speed).
- Demonstrate competency in GMAW techniques with solid wire on aluminum in the Flat, Horizontal, and Vertical Fillet Positions.
- Perform post-weld treatment (brushing, cleaning, straightening, and weld quality).
- Pass Welding Performance Tet during interview (administered by QA team).
- Work in a fast paced, assembly style facility.
- Handle several hundred small welds during a single shift.
What will make you successful?
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
- Ability to stand on a concrete floor for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Technical Training with a focus on welding (preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 6 months of continuous employment in a manufacturing or 2 years in any industry.
- Welding certification (preferred, not required).
