First shift 7am-3pm

What you will be doing

Job Responsibilities:

• Identify appropriate welding wire and alloy for base metal.
• Change wire, rollers, tips, diffusers, nozzles; set proper roller tension.
• Set correct welding parameters (voltage and wire speed).
• Demonstrate competency in GMAW techniques with solid wire on aluminum in the Flat, Horizontal, and Vertical Fillet Positions.
• Perform post-weld treatment (brushing, cleaning, straightening, and weld quality).
• Pass Welding Performance Tet during interview (administered by QA team).
• Work in a fast paced, assembly style facility.
• Handle several hundred small welds during a single shift.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Ability to lift 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
• Ability to stand on a concrete floor for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment for a minimum of 8 hours per day.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Technical Training with a focus on welding (preferred but not required).
• Minimum of 6 months of continuous employment in a manufacturing or 2 years in any industry.
• Welding certification (preferred, not required).
