LOCATION:  Full-time, onsite in Herndon, VA

We are seeking a highly capable Web Developer who can independently design, build, and manage a website focused on delivering high‑quality learning videos. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter with the ability to research, troubleshoot, and implement custom code to support both design and functionality requirements. Although this position serves as the sole developer on a small team, the selected candidate must be comfortable collaborating with other developers and coordinating with DO WEB resources when needed to resolve complex issues. The optimal applicant will be a subject‑matter expert in end‑to‑end website planning and development and bring the technical maturity required to support a mission‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

You must have the required skills, certifications and demonstrated experience in or with:

• Developing websites.
• Using content management software such as WordPress.
• Joomla.
• Consulting with technical partners.
• Evaluating solutions to meet enterprise and mission specific needs.
• Communicating technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Using programming languages such as JavaScript/JQuery, and PHP.
• Designing the framework for websites.
• Using Cascading Style Sheet (CSS).
• Working with HTML.
• PHP Coding
• Search best practices
• CSS
• Attention to detail

HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS AND DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE

• Joomla experience
• Familiarity with writing or modifying Joomla modules
• Familiarity with AllVideoShare plugin and/or Joommedia
• SASR training completed

Highly Desired Qualifications

Skills and demonstrated experiences that are highly desired but not required to perform the work include:

• Assisting customers to identify and select best solutions for requirements
• Wordpress.
• Using Adobe products such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Certifications:
