Role Overview:
This individual will be a strategic finance leader for a multi-entity, multi-revenue business comprising Morrow Health (Fitness, Recovery, F&B, Retail) and Morrow Medical. This role ensures financial integrity, compliance with IFRS and Singapore Accounting Standards (SFRS), and provides actionable insights to support go-to-market (GTM) strategies. The FC will also champion ERP implementation and drive digital finance transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee consolidated financial statements preparation using advanced ERP systems and automated reporting tools
- Ensure IFRS/local GAAP compliance with automated compliance monitoring systems
- Independently managing statutory audits, tax filings, and regulatory submissions, including direct liaison with auditors, tax advisors,
- Drive month-end close automation reducing cycle time by 50%+ through process optimization
- Manage cashflow forecasting, working capital, and treasury functions.
- Research, monitoring and management for grants applicability
Digital Finance Leadership
- Lead ERP implementation and optimization (MS Dynamics BC, APIs) with integrated reporting modules
- Implement RPA solutions for high-volume transactional processes (AP, AR, reconciliations)
- Deploy Power BI dashboards for real-time financial KPI monitoring and management reporting
- Drive API integrations between financial systems for seamless data flow
Systems & Process Excellence
- Design and maintain automated internal controls framework with exception-based monitoring
- Implement machine learning algorithms for fraud detection and anomaly identification
- Oversee data governance and master data management across finance systems
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage finance team of 3-4 professionals with focus on digital upskilling
- Establish shared services model for transactional processing optimization
- Drive adoption of collaborative planning tools and real-time financial analytics
Requirements
- CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
- 10-12 years progressive finance experience with multi-business complexity, with 5-8 years in a Financial Controller role
- Experience with finance transformation and digital automation projects
- Previous startup/scale-up experience in healthcare/wellness industry (preferred)
- Hands-on Leadership: Demonstrated ability to “roll up sleeves” and drive both strategic and operational finance activities in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
- Proactive Standards Champion: Actively monitors changes in IFRS, SFRS, and regulatory requirements; communicates implications and recommended actions to the Finance Director and broader organisation.
- Digital Transformation Mindset: Passionate about leveraging technology (ERP, RPA, analytics) to drive process improvement, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
- Team Builder & Mentor: Experience in building, developing, and leading high-performing accounting teams with a strong focus on digital upskilling and collaborative culture.
- Bias for Action & Problem Solving: Comfortable with ambiguity, demonstrates initiative, and proactively addresses issues before they escalate.
- Stakeholder Communication: Strong communicator, able to clearly articulate financial impacts and recommendations to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
