Job Duties
- Perform a variety of tasks involving the use of hand tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications, and sketches
- Complete tasks such as, but not limited to, concrete forms and braces, handrails, stairs,
- Prepare layout
- Perform skilled carpentry work such as repairing and constructing all aspects of architectural building
- Construct, erect, install, and repair structures
- Wood and metal stud framing.
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools and shop machinery in conjunction with proper
- Receive materials and offload in a safe and proficient
- Assist the superintendent in performing duties
- Prepare surfaces for paint and other
- Operate company vehicles, forklifts, and aerial lifts in conjunction with proper
- Other job duties as assigned
- Employee may be required to work extended hours (more than 8 hours per day), weekends, and holidays. Employee will be compensated based on guidelines in the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in skilled carpentry
- High school diploma or equivalent desired
- Must successfully complete and pass a background check and drug/alcohol testing
- OSHA 10 certification preferred
- Valid driver’s record preferred
