Mō te tūranga | What you’ll be doing
This is an opportunity to work on New Zealand’s iconic renewable generation infrastructure as a key member of our multi-disciplinary team of skilled engineers. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, your broad experience and diverse competencies will provide strong technical leadership in our Generation business unit, with a focus primarily on our existing large hydro and wind generation sites. We need your ability to navigate complex and multifaceted challenges, including large and small capital upgrades, plant breakdowns and compliance breaches, and asset strategies. You’ll work alongside other highly experienced engineers and help support and mentor our next generation of engineers.

We’re looking for an intermediate to senior level engineer with proven experience leading complex, technically challenging work across electrical (and other) engineering disciplines.
Key skills and experience include: a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent) and professional experience in the consulting or engineering industry.
Experience with maintenance, projects, commissioning, and asset management in the power generation, transmission, or heavy electrical fields.
An understanding of project delivery methodologies, electrical industry compliance, asset management, and health and safety best practices.
A keenness to own the outcome and provide technical leadership beyond your normal swim lane.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
