The Business Development Manager – Mexico is responsible for driving new business growth and expanding ORBCOMM’s presence across the Mexican market. This role focuses on identifying new customers, developing strategic partnerships, and accelerating adoption of ORBCOMM’s IoT and satellite-enabled solutions across multiple industries.
The BDM will work closely with channel partners, VARs, and prospective enterprise customers, serving as a trusted advisor while building pipeline, closing new logos, and supporting long-term market expansion for ORBCOMM’s full portfolio of hardware, connectivity, and services.

What You’ll Do
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across Mexico, including enterprise customers, VARs, OEMs, and strategic partners.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of new logo opportunities across ORBCOMM’s hardware, connectivity, and solution offerings.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies aligned with ORBCOMM’s regional and global growth objectives.
- Lead prospect engagements, including discovery calls, solution presentations, and value-based business discussions.
- Collaborate closely with pre-sales, engineering, product management, and customer support teams to support solution design, integration, and deployment.
- Support partner onboarding, certification, and enablement efforts to accelerate market adoption.
- Represent ORBCOMM at industry events, partner meetings, trade shows, and customer workshops throughout Mexico.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasting, and pipeline reporting to ensure visibility into revenue potential and deal progression.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify new growth opportunities.
- Ensure alignment with ORBCOMM’s strategic priorities while delivering measurable revenue growth and market expansion.
Who You Are
You’re a strategic thinker with a knack for operational excellence, ready to tackle multiple priorities with agility and grace. If you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Telecommunications, ora related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management within telecommunications, IoT, SaaS, telematics, or technology-driven industries.
- Proven ability to generate new business, build pipelines, and close complex sales opportunities.
- Strong understanding of industries such as transportation, logistics, agriculture, mining, utilities, or industrial IoT is preferred.
- Experience working with channel partners, VARs, or distributors.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required.
- Ability to travel up to 60–70% as needed to support customers, partners, and regional initiatives.
- Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Ability to work remotely while collaborating with regional and global teams.
- Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to support daily tasks and productivity.
- Commitment to continuous learning in digital and AI literacy.
