The Vacancy
Our dedicated Measured Surveys team have a rare opportunity for a Senior Surveyor or Associate to join them and take ownership of a variety of measured surveying projects.
It’s a great opportunity for you to become a vital part in the overall growth and development of the service across the Hollis network of offices.
You will take client enquiries, resource and run projects through to delivery, efficiently managing your workload split between office and site. You will have the opportunity to grow your own client base and work with the current Measured Survey team to generate new business. With Hollis’ commitment to professional development, you will be supported to becoming a specialist within a niche area of surveying whilst learning alongside our market leading industry experts.
You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of buildings, projects, and clients in this front-line surveying role. We are looking for a dynamic individual with a keen interest to learn, develop and take ownership of project delivery. The right candidate will quickly establish themselves as a key part of this service within Hollis.
Based out of either our Milton Keynes or London office, you will be expected to travel for survey work and occasionally be required to assist other UK and European measured survey teams.
Daily duties:
· Facilitate the process of delivering measured surveys including initial client engagement, site visits, reports and drawing production, and general project administration.
· Project manage instructions from conception to completion, including fee quoting, invoicing, resourcing and management of own workload.
· Undertake fieldwork including measured building surveys, topographical surveys and area referencing surveys.
· Utilise equipment and up-to-date technology to carry out precise surveys
· Work closely with senior team members to support with business development, client engagement and team growth.
· Actively manage client relationships both existing and potential new business, provide excellent client care and cross-sell Hollis services where applicable.
What we’re looking for:
· Chartered with RICS or willingness to work towards
· Proactive, willing to work under own initiative and collaborate with the wider team.
· Experience within a multi-skilled measured surveys role, managing own projects
· Experience working with various survey methods including laser scanning and GPS.
· Good understanding of tablet software including AutoCAD, LSS and Revit.
· Passionate about your professional development and potential for progression.
· Full and valid driving license and access to own vehicle.
At Hollis we encourage a balanced 50/50 split between on-site work and office-based tasks, where applicable. This approach allows our team to gain hands-on experience in real-world conditions while also refining their analytical and processing skills in the office. By combining field expertise with data processing and reporting, we ensure professional growth in both practical and technical aspects of the role.
