About Us

Spacetalk is a proudly Australian ASX-listed technology company with over 20 years of experience in keeping families and communities confidently connected and safe. Our mission is to create a unique safety-first ecosystem that empowers people to stay connected and protected throughout life's journey. From our #1 selling kids' smartwatches in Australia to our innovative Freedom Platform—an all-in-one SaaS solution for global family connection—we prioritise privacy, storing data locally and never selling personal information. As we expand across Australia, Europe, and the US, we're transitioning to a software-first, AI-enabled platform that adapts to real family life, focusing on safety, freedom, and simplicity for all ages, including seniors.

About the Role

We're seeking a Product Manager - Telco Platform to own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of Spacetalk's telco partnerships and co-branded deployments. This role focuses on scaling the platform through customized, white-label capabilities that drive partner success and revenue growth.

This position is critical as Spacetalk accelerates its transition to a SaaS and AI-enabled safety platform, supporting global expansion through telco channels, increased platform customization for co-branded experiences, higher partner expectations for reliability, compliance, and revenue sharing, and a shift to API-first, scalable delivery models. You'll act as a strategic partner to the Director of Product, collaborating with cross-functional teams to onboard telcos, manage entitlements, and optimize deployments for mutual growth and satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities

  • Product Excellence: Deliver high-quality, customizable telco features that enable seamless co-branded deployments, ensuring consistent partnership milestones on time and within scope.
  • Growth & Partnership Performance: Meet or exceed achievable targets (e.g., partner revenue, deployment success), generating actionable insights from partner data to inform strategic decisions.
  • Compliance & Platform Integrity: Ensure telco products are compliant with regulatory and partner-specific requirements, providing secure and reliable customizations that protect user data.
  • Team and Partner Influence: Drive strong collaboration for efficient executions and high partner satisfaction, gathering positive feedback from stakeholders on partnership clarity and impact.

Requirements

About You

You're a strategic product manager passionate about telco partnerships and scalable platforms, with a proven ability to navigate complex collaborations in ambiguous environments. You excel at turning partner needs into innovative, revenue-driving solutions while maintaining compliance and integrity. With excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, you'll bridge internal teams and external telcos, acting as the voice of the partner to refine offerings. You're adaptable, data-driven, and committed to fostering growth in a safety-focused ecosystem.

Skills (Essential & Desirable)

Essential:

  • Proven experience in product management, owning end-to-end lifecycles from ideation to deployment in partnership or platform contexts.
  • Strong knowledge of telco integrations, white-label/co-branded capabilities, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, telco-specific standards).
  • Expertise in partner onboarding, customization (e.g., feature flags, entitlements), and performance monitoring through data and metrics.
  • Proficiency with tools like Jira, CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot), and feature flag platforms
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and presentation skills for C-Suite and external stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Experience in telco or telecom partnerships, SaaS scaling, or co-branded deployments.
  • Familiarity with API-first designs, CI/CD pipelines, or revenue-sharing models.
  • Background in market research, competitive benchmarking, or growth experiments.
  • Skills in privacy impact assessments and security reviews.

Background

We're seeking candidates with a strategic mindset, often honed in management consulting or venture environments, combined with hands-on SaaS product experience in dynamic startups or tech companies. Ideal profiles feature a track record in navigating ambiguity through 0-1 product builds, de-risking initiatives via pilots and experiments, and driving scalable innovations in sectors like AI, healthcare, or enterprise services. Attributes like analytical thinking, entrepreneurial drive, collaborative leadership, and a passion for cross-industry strategy will thrive here. Australian or international citizenship with ties to Sydney is a plus.
