Business Development Manager

We’re looking for a high-energy, self-motivated Business Development Manager who lives for growth and isn’t afraid to go after it. This is a role for someone with real drive, resilience, and the confidence to make things happen in a competitive market.

Location: Field based role covering - Widnes, St Helens and Birkenhead

Job Purpose:

To drive profitable sales growth by actively winning new business, developing key customer relationships and consistently exceeding performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building powerful relationships with existing customer's and becoming their go-to partner.

• Actively hunting for new business opportunities and opening doors across your territory.

• Driving sales performance and consistently exceeding targets.

• Representing the business within the local market, including customer visits.

• Working closely with branch teams to deliver outstanding service.

• Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers. 

What we're looking for:

• A self-starter with a genuine hunger to succeed.

• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

• High levels of energy, enthusiasm, and resilience.

• Strong communication and influencing skills.

• A strong commercial awareness with a winning mindset.

• Experience in the building merchant or construction industry (ideal but not essential).

• All applicants must have a full UK driving license.
