Lead Salesforce DevOps Engineer
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Salesforce DevOps Engineer to support and scale our Salesforce delivery platform. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and governing CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, and release management practices across Salesforce environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Salesforce DevOps tools (preferably AutoRABIT), and exposure to MuleSoft deployment automation and secure secrets management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Salesforce CI/CD pipelines leveraging Azure DevOps and Salesforce DevOps tools such as AutoRABIT.
- Own and support end-to-end Salesforce release management, including metadata deployment, validation, rollback strategies, and environment coordination.
- Automate Salesforce deployment and governance processes to improve reliability, speed, and compliance.
- Support MuleSoft application deployments through Azure DevOps pipelines, including build, deployment, and environment promotion.
- Integrate pipelines with Vault or similar secrets management solutions to securely manage credentials and sensitive configuration data.
- Collaborate closely with Salesforce and MuleSoft developers, QA, and environment owners to ensure smooth delivery across Dev, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
- Enforce DevOps best practices, branching strategies, and deployment standards to minimize delivery risk.
- Monitor deployment health, troubleshoot pipeline or environment-related issues, and provide timely resolution.
- Ensure adherence to security, audit, and organizational compliance requirements.
- Continuously evaluate and improve DevOps processes using industry best practices and emerging tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce DevOps and release management.
- Proven experience using AutoRABIT (or similar Salesforce DevOps tools) for deployment, branching, and governance.
- Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of Salesforce metadata, deployment dependencies, and release challenges.
- Experience supporting MuleSoft deployments using Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with secrets management tools (e.g., Vault) and secure pipeline integrations.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and version control systems (Git).
- Strong troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and delivery quality.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and across teams.
Nice to Have (Additional Skills)
- MuleSoft Anypoint Platform exposure (CloudHub, Runtime Manager).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM templates.
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
