Software Engineer, Full Stack, Google Public Sector

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• Experience with cloud compute platforms (e.g., Kubernetes or Cloud Functions).
• Active, or the ability to obtain, a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

Preferred qualifications:

• Knowledge of government compliance frameworks, such as FedRAMP or NIST 800-53.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $123,000-$174,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Develop prototypes and build front-ends and back-ends for greenfield projects.
• Work with Google Public Sector (GPS) Sovereign Engineering and Google Distribute Cloud Engineering to survey existing pain points, and propose solutions and improvements.
• Participate in and lead architecture and engineering designs with peers and stakeholders, and exercise technical judgment (e.g., deciding between available technologies).
• Review code and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
