Position Summary:
The Front Office Receptionist at our Denver, NC location will be responsible for managing patient registrations accurately and efficiently, verifying insurance coverage, scheduling appointments, and delivering exceptional service to patients, providers, and visitors. This position supports our commitment to quality and accessibility in dermatologic care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in person and over the phone, responding to inquiries or directing them appropriately.
- Document patient arrivals accurately in the Practice Management System (EMR).
- Verify patient identity and create new accounts when needed.
- Prepare patient paperwork prior to appointments.
- Contact patients who miss appointments to reschedule and document interactions.
- Schedule appointments to maximize provider availability and treatment room efficiency while enhancing patient experience.
- Assist patients during emergencies with sound judgment and prompt action.
- Maintain and update patient information in the EMR system.
- Verify insurance eligibility and coverage, identify prior authorization requirements, and coordinate with billing as necessary.
- Keep reception area neat, organized, and hospitable.
- Collect co-pays and balances, ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
- Answer telephone calls promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate cooperatively with team members and healthcare professionals.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Practice Manager or Area Practice Manager.

Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to operate electronic medical records and other medical software.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Professionalism and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
