Business analyst - Health and Human Services (HHS)

Required/Preferred skills

·       8 years of required experience gathering business requirements and translating complex data acquisition and operational requirements into clear, actionable data access paths for profiling and advanced analytics.

·       8 years of required experience explaining technical findings and data limitations in clear, non-technical language to end users and leadership teams.

·       8 years of required experience in complex data analysis, senior business/systems analysis, and/or data liaison roles.

·       8 years of required experience with SQL for data extraction, profiling, manipulation, and enrichment.

·       8 years of required experience collaborating with end users, performance analysts, and IT leadership to create and validate data profiles for analytics development and business data lineage analysis.

·       8 years of required experience demonstrating excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

·       5 years of preferred experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse environments.

·       5 years of preferred experience serving as the primary point of contact for program staff with data profiling needs related to analytics projects.

·       5 years of preferred experience working in a health and human services or similarly regulated environment, with a strong understanding of agency data domains.

·       5 years of preferred experience applying data governance and data quality principles.

·       5 years of preferred experience using data profiling tools such as Snowflake Cortex or Toad.

·       2 years of preferred experience promoting data literacy initiatives across the organization.

·       2 years of preferred experience training and mentoring staff with varying levels of data literacy.

·       1 year of preferred experience with AI prompt development.
