We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who wants to be part of Tieto Tech Consulting and join our customer – a multinational telecommunications company delivering cutting-edge network infrastructure and digital services to customers worldwide. On this project, a DevOps Engineer will be part of a team which is responsible for the deployment and support of products and services used by customer R&D. The projects and positions encompass performing all phases of DevOps, i.e. service development up to and including deployment to production as well as doing daily operations tasks and supporting end users. The candidate must have the ability to work in an agile environment where priorities can change from day to day and be a team player. We value accountability, flexibility, complex problem-solving abilities, and a sense of urgency in completing the required system administration tasks and providing efficient customer support.
Requirements
- Support and configuration of Linux/Unix servers
- Good knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash, etc.)
- Experience in using autoconfiguration system (Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
- Understanding monitoring/logging/observability principles (Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana)
- Experience with version control and CI (Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, GitLab)
- Knowledge and experience of REST API usage
- Good troubleshooting and searching for information skills
- Understanding of CI/CD and product life-cycle principles
- Basic knowledge of Data Bases
- Maintaining documentation and operational procedures
- Knowledge of source code management tools
- Knowledge of Agile principles and practices (Scrum, Kanban)
- Knowledge about best practices working with AI
- Basic experience with project handling tools (Jira, Confluence, Artifactory)
- Basic experience in customer tickets/requests handling
- Ability to work on call and during the weekend on demand once per 2 months
- Very good communication in English for user support
Will be an advantage
- Understanding of networking and system administration principles
- Knowledge of Java programming language
- Experience in using Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience in using Cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
