Job Description
- Act as the technical focal point for production chemistry, laboratory operations, and chemical treatment activities.
- Support the selection, qualification, testing, and implementation of production chemicals.
- Manage chemical supply contracts and coordinate with suppliers and service providers on technical matters.
- Oversee chemical stock management, logistics planning, and first-fill chemical deliveries.
- Review and support the design, installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing of laboratory and chemical injection systems.
- Monitor and optimize topside and subsea chemical injection programs to ensure production integrity and flow assurance.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting production chemistry, corrosion, scaling, emulsion, and flow assurance issues.
- Ensure laboratory activities, sampling, analysis, and reporting are performed to required standards.
- Interface with offshore operations teams, O&M contractors, logistics teams, and technical specialists.
- Track chemical consumption, prepare forecasts, manage budgets, and produce performance reports.
- Support maintenance and inspection activities and implement recommendations into chemical treatment programs.
- Ensure chemical handling, QA/QC, storage, transportation, and waste management activities comply with HSE requirements.
Qualifications
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5–10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong experience in production chemistry and chemical treatment programs.
- Demonstrated experience supporting FPSO operations and/or commissioning projects.
- Good understanding of flow assurance, corrosion, scale management, and production system chemistry.
- Familiarity with laboratory operations, sampling, analysis, and chemical injection systems.
- Experience managing contractors, suppliers, and technical interfaces across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address abnormal operating conditions.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluent English is required; Dutch language skills are advantageous.
- Willingness to work internationally, including assignments in China and Suriname and offshore visits as required.
