Senior Quality Assurance Manager - Campaign Engine (all genders)

Job Description

The Campaign Engine is a completely new product within About You's Retail Media tech stack. Its mission: enable self-service campaign management for Retail Media Partners, giving them direct access to AY's unique loyalty frameworks: Missions & Coupons. As the first QA Manager on this team, you'll build the quality assurance foundation from the ground up in a greenfield environment, setting the testing strategy, processes, and tooling that will grow with the product.

 

• Design and implement the QA strategy from scratch: define the testing approach, tooling, and processes for a brand-new product
• Set up manual testing frameworks for both API/backend and web UI layers of the campaign management platform
• Perform and coordinate manual and exploratory testing for campaign flows, edge cases, and partner-facing features
• Work closely with the PM and engineers to understand requirements and define test coverage early in the development cycle
• Take ownership of bug management: triage, prioritise, and track issues through to resolution
• Act as the quality advocate in a cross-functional product team

Qualifications

• You have a minimum of 3 years experience in quality assurance, testing and debugging of frontend applications (JavaScript) in big scale projects
• Proficient in manual testing techniques, including exploratory and destructive testing, as well as automated testing
• Familiarity with process and ticketing tools such as Jira and Confluence, enabling effective collaboration and organisation
• Solid understanding of API testing and backend service testing
• Strong knowledge and experience with testing tools, particularly TestRail, for efficient test management and reporting
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical systems, allowing for efficient testing and debugging activities
• Detail-oriented approach to testing, with a strong focus on test case design as well as business value and user experience of software
• Passion for delivering innovative features quickly while maintaining high reliability standards
• Experience working with agile methodologies and implementing a quality mindset in an agile environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders
• Fluent in English, demonstrating proficiency in both speaking and writing
• You focus on the details but always keep the business value of the software in mind
• You are a self-starter comfortable building things without a blueprint
