Key Responsibilities

  • Financial & Commercial Analysis:
  • Analyze revenue streams, and profitability metrics to support business decisions.
  • Ensure Trinity data is up to date, capturing changes to compensation structures and employee movement between accounts.
  • Prepare and track staffing / FTEs report vs. contracts and budgets.
  • Prepare monthly journal entries for Retainer Clients.
  • Setting up and maintaining all product codes in MediaOcean.
  • Leading the client billing process for clients with FTE allocation for this role or with billings over $5M by adding Q&A to initial and final budget control report for billing.
  • Sending the final client facing budget control report to the client (where applicable).
  • Reviewing unbilled media and Work in Progress Report and providing comments at month end while minimizing the unbilled media and ensuring Work in Progress Report items are cleared.
  • Open jobs for retainers, expenses, pass through costs
  • Assisting in Client Audits and support where required.
  • Attending client meetings with clients as needed and establishing and fostering an open relationship with Clients’ Account Payables team.

  • Liaising and developing strong working relationship with Shared Finance Services and Buy Enablement team to ensure that the Agency and Clients have the highest level of customer service.

  • Ensuring compliance with Internal control over financial reporting Audit policies and procedures.

  • Preparing client year end accruals.

  • Prepare client reporting as per client contracts

  • Reporting & Insights:
  • Assist with Local/Global reporting as required.
  • Prepare monthly time reports as per clients’ contractual agreements/ requirements.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting:
  • Assist with inputs/updates into budgets/forecasts consolidation software (CoreM) and ensure accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Assist Director, Commercial and Manager, Commercial in fulfilling their responsibilities.
  • Collaborate across the organization including other teams within finance to resolve issues, and to ensure commercial objectives are met.

Qualifications & Skills: 

Essential:

  • Experience in financial analysis, commercial strategy, or business analytics.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI.
  • Understanding of media agency operations, media buying, and revenue models.
  • Excellent communication skills to present complex data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Major in accounting, finance or business-related field is preferred.
  • 3-5 years related Commercial and FP&A work experience (with CPA designation or in progress).
  • Analysis and audit experience would be essential to the role.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in a media agency or advertising industry.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting tools like SAP, and Trinity.
