Description Summary:
The Business Systems Administrator (Finance & HR) owns the day-to-day administration, control, and integrity of DC BLOX’s most sensitive business platforms, including Sage Intacct, Rippling, Brex, Zip, Kahua and related systems. This role ensures that financial and people data is secure, accurate, and governed through standardized configurations, access controls, and workflows.
Success in this role means maintaining audit-ready systems, enforcing strong segregation of duties, and enabling Finance and HR teams to operate efficiently without compromising control or compliance. You will act as the operational backbone for these platforms, assessing and mitigating risk while translating policy and business requirements into secure, scalable system configurations in a mission-critical, fast-growing environment.
Essential Duties:
Own the administration of core Finance and HR systems, including Sage Intacct, Rippling, Brex, Zip, Kahua and related SaaS platforms, ensuring stability, accuracy, and secure operation.
Design and manage roles, permissions, and approval workflows that enforce least-privilege access and strong segregation of duties across sensitive functions.
Execute and oversee sensitive system activities such as user provisioning, access changes, financial workflow updates, and configuration changes with precision and auditability.
Partner with Finance, HR, and governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) teams to translate business processes into system configurations that improve efficiency while maintaining strict control standards.
Maintain and enforce system governance standards, including access reviews, change tracking, and documentation that supports audit and compliance requirements.
Maintain data integrity and governance across platforms, and build, maintain, and validate reports that give Finance and HR teams accurate, trusted information for decision-making.
Troubleshoot and monitor integrations across Finance, HR, and downstream platforms, tracing transactions to resolve configuration gaps and ensure reliable, accurate data flow.
Develop and maintain runbooks, configuration documentation, and process guides to ensure consistency and continuity of operations.
Collaborate with other IT teams to implement enhancements, system changes, and new capabilities aligned with business priorities.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Training/Experience:
3–5+ years of experience administering business systems, with direct ownership of Finance or HR platforms such as Sage Intacct, Rippling, Brex, Zip, Kahua or similar SaaS applications.
Strong hands-on experience with role-based access control, workflow configuration, and system administration in environments handling sensitive financial or employee data.
Demonstrated understanding of financial and HR processes, including GL/AP/AR, payroll, benefits, and expense management.
Experience supporting or operating integrated system environments, with familiarity in APIs, data flows, and troubleshooting cross-system issues.
Working knowledge of governance practices, including segregation of duties, access reviews, audit support, and change management.
Familiarity with structured delivery approaches such as ITIL or controlled change processes in SaaS environments.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage sensitive tasks with accuracy, discretion, and accountability.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to work directly with Finance and HR stakeholders and clearly document processes and configurations.
