Role summary

The Founding UI/UX Designer is responsible for shaping the user experience and design foundations of Matchii's products.

This role works closely with product, engineering, and business teams to transform complex workflows into intuitive, elegant, and user-centered experiences. From research and wireframes to high-fidelity designs and design systems, this role helps define how customers interact with Matchii's platform.

As one of the earliest design hires, this role will have a significant influence on product direction, user experience, design standards, and the overall look and feel of the company.

What you'll own

• Design end-to-end user experiences across Matchii's products, from discovery and wireframes to polished interfaces and shipped features.

• Transform complex workflows, data, and AI-powered capabilities into intuitive and user-friendly experiences.

• Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align business goals with user needs.

• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business teams to bring ideas from concept to production.

• Conduct user research, gather feedback, and continuously improve product usability and customer experience.

• Build and maintain Matchii's design system, interaction patterns, and visual standards.

• Leverage AI tools to accelerate design workflows, prototyping, research, and creative exploration.

• Help shape product direction, design culture, and the overall user experience strategy as an early member of the team.

Who we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in UI/UX, Product Design, or related design roles.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design, problem solving, and shipped digital products.

• Proficiency in modern design tools such as Figma and prototyping tools.

• Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, and design systems.

• Ability to simplify complex workflows, data, and user journeys into intuitive experiences.

• Experience collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams.

• AI-native mindset with hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance design, research, prototyping, and productivity.

• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.

• Comfortable working in fast-moving environments and excited to help build products from zero to one.
