Job Description
Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Structures and Bridge Design Group in Richmond, VA. This is a great opportunity to work on routine and complex structures including bridge, building, renewable energy and ancillary structure designs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Perform rehabilitation designs for bridges and buildings
- Conduct bridge load ratings and evaluations
- Support project planning including scope, schedule, and budget development
- Assist in project and task management
- Contribute to marketing efforts and proposal development
Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in structural and/or bridge design
- PE License is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation, and NCDOT standards
- Proficiency in structural design software
- Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD for plan development
- NBIS bridge inspection certification is a plus
Compensation: Our best estimate of the salary range for this position is $82,000-$90,000. Offers are based on a range of job-related factors such as internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials and role complexity.
