DevOps Engineer - Analyst, Risk & Quant Analytics

Polymer was established in conjunction with PAG, one of the world's largest Asia-focused alternative asset managers, in 2019. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and improve infrastructure as code (IaC) deployments.
• Perform regular system maintenance and updates to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage infrastructure environments in AWS or Data Centers, including compute, storage, and network services.
• Configure and maintain network security tools, identity services, and access management systems, particularly using Okta.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to guarantee availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with development teams to align infrastructure with application development needs.
• Ensure disaster recovery and backups are properly configured and regularly tested.
• Stay updated with new technologies and best practices in infrastructure management.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM majors
• Strong background in Linux administration
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Experience with IaC (e.g. Terraform)
• Experience with AWS management
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong programming background is a plus
• Experience with managing data centers is a plus
• Relevant certifications are a plus
