Job Overview:
SK hynix America is rapidly expanding its AI and advanced technology portfolio and is building several new Tech/AI organizations from the ground up. We are seeking a strategic Senior Technical Recruiter to lead the talent acquisition engine for this critical initiative. In this role, you will own the end-to-end sourcing and hiring strategy for specialized semiconductor roles, acting as a primary partner of our new technical teams. You will move beyond transactional filling of requisitions to design innovative pipelines, secure senior-level leadership, and ensure we attract the world's top tech talent to stabilize and scale our emerging organizations.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Org Build-Out
- Design and execute targeted sourcing strategies for technical roles across multiple levels, including executive leadership, engineering management, and senior individual contributors such as Principal Engineers, Staff ML Engineers, AI Researchers, and semiconductor/hardware specialists.
- Proactively identify and engage passive talent through direct sourcing, market mapping, referrals, technical communities, conferences, publications, open-source networks, and competitor research.
- Provide market intelligence on talent availability, compensation trends, competitor hiring activity, location strategy, and candidate expectations to support headcount planning and organization design.
- Build and maintain long-term talent pipelines for critical AI, ML, semiconductor, hardware, and systems engineering roles.
Recruiting Operations & Compliance
- Maintain accurate candidate, pipeline, interview, and hiring data in Greenhouse or similar ATS.
- Report on pipeline health, sourcing effectiveness, time-to-fill, candidate experience, diversity outreach, and progress against hiring goals.
- Ensure recruiting practices comply with applicable employment laws, compensation regulations, and internal hiring policies.
- Support continuous improvement of recruiting processes, interview quality, candidate experience, and hiring manager enablement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, including significant experience hiring senior technical talent.
- Proven track record recruiting for specialized technical roles in AI/ML, semiconductor, hardware, systems engineering, or other deep-tech/high-tech environments.
- Experience partnering with senior hiring managers, executives, and technical leaders to define hiring strategies and close high-impact candidates.
- Advanced sourcing skills, including Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, social sourcing, market mapping, referral generation, and engagement of passive candidates.
- Strong working knowledge of technical domains such as AI/ML, software engineering, hardware engineering, semiconductor design, or related technical areas.
- Experience managing complex recruiting pipelines in an ATS such as Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, or similar.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience hiring executive-level technical leaders, engineering managers, Principal/Staff-level engineers, AI researchers, or semiconductor specialists.
- Experience in a rapid-growth startup, scale-up, or global technology organization.
- Familiarity with compensation benchmarking, leveling frameworks, offer negotiation, and competitive market intelligence.
- Proficiency with Greenhouse and LinkedIn Recruiter.
