International Airport of Heraklion, Crete S.A. is currently looking for:

Accounting Specialist (Heraklion, Crete)

Responsibilities

• Books invoices in SAP4HANA by controlling expenses, receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling the necessary supporting documentation (POs, Agreements, Offers, etc.).
• Maintains proper Accounting Ledgers by booking G/L entries (bank entries, depreciations, accruals, etc.).
• Performs bank reconciliations monthly.
• Prepares periodical Vendors’/Customers’ Ledger reconciliations.
• Monitors the company’s Tax obligations (Double Taxation Forms, Royalties).
• Supports the Accounting Manager during the month-end & Year-end closing.
• Assists the Accounting Manager upon performance of any Audit (interim/fiscal/tax/VAT).
• Maintains a proper and organized physical and digital record of all accounting documents.
• Collaborates with other company’s Dpts. and ensures open communication channels with them.
• Assists in other accounting related tasks, when requested.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Master’s degree (MSc) in Accounting/Finance is considered an asset
• Minimum 3 years of working experience
• Experience with high-volume or complex models
• Knowledge of IFRS and GFRS
• Experience with ERP, preferably SAP
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
• Excellent knowledge of English language, both oral and written
