Job Description

The position is initially offered as a 6-month contract, giving you the opportunity to get to know the team, the projects, and our company culture, with the possibility of extending the collaboration afterward.

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, support, and execute deployments and operations activities, assisting various project groups in successfully bringing their applications to production. In this cross-functional bridging role, you will build reliable delivery pipelines across multiple teams, troubleshoot launch challenges, and foster team growth through active mentoring and technical coaching. 

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for build, test, scan, deploy, and release automation.
  • Maintain DevOps tooling, source control workflows, repositories, registries, and delivery automation. Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and environment management using Isac.
  • Deploy and operate containerized applications on Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar platforms.
  • Maintain Helm charts, manifests, deployment templates, and environment-specific configurations. Support cloud, private cloud, hybrid cloud, and multi-cloud environments.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application and platform reliability, scalability, and availability.
  • Perform IT operations tasks when required, including monitoring, incident support, system checks, and operational follow-up activities.
  • Drive cloud cost optimization through rightsizing, tagging, scaling, usage analysis, and cleanup.
  • Apply best practices for access control, secrets, vulnerability scanning, and compliance.
  • Execute platform maintenance, including patching, upgrades, configuration changes, backup, and recovery support.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
  • Mentor and coach junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer, Platform Engineer, SRE, or Infrastructure Automation Engineer.
  • CI/CD & Delivery: Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (eg. Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • IaC & Configuration: Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), Ansible, and automation scripting.
  • Containers & Orchestration: Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Podman, and Helm.
  • Cloud: Experience with Azure or in a multi-cloud environment, alongside with cloud cost optimization and usage monitoring.
  • Source Control & GitOps: Proficiency in Git, branching strategies, pull requests, and release management.
  • Observability & Monitoring: Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
  • Systems & Infrastructure: Solid understanding of Linux administration, networking, storage, and databases.
  • Security: Knowledge secrets management, access control, and vulnerability scanning.
  • Scripting & Automation: Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
  • Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Languages: Fluent English required.
