Description of Work
The purpose of the Risk Analyst position is to investigate various incidents that occur at the facility. Additionally, the Risk Analyst partners with patient advocates to complete the management investigations associated with patient allegations of abuse/neglect/exploitation or rights infringement. The Risk Analyst documents any findings regarding overall quality of care; violations of facility policy and other pertinent facts related to the incident. The Risk Analyst works with management in the development of follow up actions and improvement strategies. This position will also be involved with audits related to patient safety issues and inspections as they relate to potential hazards, patient rights issues and/or restrictive interventions. The position will be responsible for ensuring a timely review of video surveillance. The Risk Analyst may be utilized as a consultant to PI teams to assist with the development of improvement strategies as it relates to patient safety processes and procedures. Additionally, the Risk Analyst may be involved in the review of incident reports and adverse event data to assist in the identification of trends.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
Salary Range: $60,881.00 - $106,544.00
Recruitment Range: $60,881 - $70,000

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
- Knowledge of inpatient hospital systems, preferably CRH units and departments
- Working knowledge of risk management and performance improvement
- Ability to develop recommendations and provide consultation to solve problems in different program areas and exercise judgment in interpreting and applying standards, policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in written form with various staff and assess problems and coordinate resolutions
- Good analytical skills, and ability to work well with limited supervision and flexibility with scheduling
Conditional Requirements:
- Experience preferred in psychiatric setting and risk management
ADA physical requirements will be discussed during the interview
This is a full-time position and eligible for the full State benefits package. Normal work hours are M-F, 8:00am - 4:30pm. Flexibility is required to meet hospital needs.
