We're seeking someone to join our team as an Associate in WM Operations to support the CMCPR Risk Team in strengthening operational risk management, governance, control oversight, and regulatory compliance primarily through Key Control Testing and the Non-Financial Risk Assessment (NFRA) program, as well as other Risk Manager responsibilities.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships.
This is an Associate level position within the within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What You'll Do
-Execute processes/functions and/or support process management and project efforts, leveraging knowledge of the systems, markets and instruments that influence the team
-Recognize risk in day-to-day processes to draw out the key issues and contribute to process improvements
-Build relationships within team and internal stakeholders, sharing knowledge to contribute to team output
- Participate in projects and initiatives, aiding in solution formulation with a focus on timely execution
· Perform Key Control testing by conducting walkthrough meetings, testing the design and effectiveness of operational controls, documenting test results, communicating results to Operations and Risk management, and sharing recommendations for improving controls.
·Contribute to the overall WM Operations NFRA program through expertise, managing deliverables and deadlines, running and providing metrics, etc.
Utilize user-led automation tools (e.g., Power BI, Alteryx, etc.) to transform and automate Risk processes/reporting.
·Participate in risk assessments, control reviews, independent monitoring activities, etc.
·Build relationships within team and internal stakeholders, sharing knowledge to contribute to team output and contribute to risk and control framework enhancements.
·Participate in projects and initiatives designed to strengthen governance, improve controls, and enhance operational efficiency.
Support internal audits, compliance reviews, external audits, and regulatory examinations.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Ability to establish clear goals and priorities, and address non-standard issues within area of expertise with minimal guidance and supervision
- Subject matter expertise in business area supported, client requirements, and ability to ensure control is not compromised to comply with client requests
- Culture carrier across Operations, embracing the Firm's core values
- Builds a strong understanding of the regulatory framework and maintains a clear focus on enhancing control and continuously improving, reducing operational risk
- Organizational skills, with strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including experience with business process documentation, and preparing management reports using PowerPoint and Excel
- Strong analytical skills, including root cause analysis -
- Collaboration and teamwork skills and experience, including strong interpersonal skills
- Power BI, Alteryx, and SharePoint experience are a plus.
- At least 2 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Salary range for the position: $51,000.00 - $82,500.00/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
