What would your role look like?
As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will support and challenge the commercial organization through fact-based insights, clear financial steering and strong stakeholder management. You will be close to the business agenda and help create transparency on topline growth, margin development, pricing, customer and product profitability, SG&A and working capital-related commercial KPIs.
You will be expected to lead and continuously improve the performance management processes for the commercial area, including monthly reporting, building the story line around value drivers, forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning. The role has a strong element of transformation as you will become a key player in steering the commercial function through the ongoing conversion to natural colors in the US market – an industry-defining opportunity enabled by regulation.
Duties and responsibilities:
Commercial performance management
- Act as a trusted finance partner and advisor to the CCO, CPSO, and their respective leadership teams
- Prepare, analyze and communicate the story of the monthly management reporting on commercial KPIs, including Sales, Margins, and DSO
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and monthly closing activities for the commercial areas, ensuring that business plans, strategic priorities and financial targets are clearly connected
- Support the commercial management agenda with clear insights on growth drivers, margin expansion, pricing efficiency, customer profitability and regional/category performance
- Play a key role in developing Oterra’s global performance management processes and drive structured forecast follow-up and performance reviews, ensuring robust understanding of deviations, assumptions and actions across the commercial organization
- Navigate the transformation of conversion to natural colors in the US ensuring the commercial agenda is on track
- Conduct trend analysis, variance analysis, scenario modelling and ad-hoc financial analysis for senior management and Board of Directors as needed
- Partner with Product Management and Strategy on portfolio performance and strategic projects
- Work with the team to ensure control of SG&A-costs is in place, including Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Strategy-related costs

Meet your new team
We are looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to support our Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Chief Product & Strategy Officer (CPSO) and their leadership teams.
Based at our headquarters in Hellerup, Denmark, you will be part of the Group Business Finance team and work closely with colleagues across Commercial, Product Management, Strategy and Finance. You will play a central role in translating business performance into actionable insights and helping drive profitable growth across the organization.
What will you be doing?
As a trusted finance partner, you will support decision-making through financial insights, performance management and business analysis. You will help create transparency around commercial performance and ensure financial priorities remain closely connected to business objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with the CCO, CPSO and their leadership teams on business performance and strategic priorities.
- Driving forecasting, budgeting and performance follow-up across commercial activities.
- Preparing and communicating performance insights related to growth, profitability, pricing and commercial effectiveness.
- Supporting monthly reporting and helping explain the key drivers behind results.
- Conducting business cases, scenario analyses and ad hoc financial assessments to support decision-making.
- Collaborating across Finance and the business to strengthen performance management and improve ways of working.
- Supporting Oterra's continued growth journey, including key transformation initiatives in the US market.
- Contributing to strategic projects related to portfolio performance, commercial development and business growth.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an analytically strong finance professional who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders and transforming complex data into clear business insights. The role requires commercial curiosity, a collaborative mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic international environment.
To succeed in this role, you will likely bring experience from several of the following areas:
- Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance, FP&A, Consulting or a similar role.
- Financial planning, forecasting and performance management.
- Translating financial analysis into actionable recommendations for business leaders.
- Working with commercial performance drivers such as growth, profitability and pricing.
- Stakeholder management across functions and organizational levels.
- Microsoft Excel and financial modelling; experience with Power BI or ERP systems is an advantage.
- A degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Experience working in an international organization and collaborating across multiple functions will be beneficial.
