Position Summary:
The Lead Electrical Design Engineer – Power & Control Systems designs and supports industrial power distribution and control systems, including electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system documentation. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, code-compliant engineering solutions while supporting manufacturing, project execution, and continuous system improvement.
### Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical power distribution and control systems for industrial applications
Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering specifications, and bills of materials
Support both new product development efforts and modifications to existing systems
Ensure engineering designs comply with applicable electrical codes, standards, and internal design practices
Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing, operations, and production personnel
Maintain organized engineering documentation, drawing revisions, and configuration records
Collaborate with project teams from order release through manufacturing and final delivery
Monitor project schedules and support timely completion of engineering deliverables
Participate in engineering reviews, technical discussions, and project coordination meetings
Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve system performance, reliability, and design efficiency
### Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE required)
Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering or power systems design
U.S. Citizenship required
Experience with industrial control components including relays, breakers, contactors, and metering devices
Working knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens PLC experience preferred)
Proficiency using AutoCAD Electrical (current version)
Strong understanding of electrical wiring practices, integration methods, and equipment layout
Familiarity with applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
Experience working with electromechanical systems and integrated equipment
